How to enable the Windows key press to highlight the mouse pointer in Windows 10
On a newly purchased computer, I noticed that when holding down the Windows logo key on the keyboard, the mouse pointer instantly changes to a highlighted touch indicator (style: white circle + blue outer ring + purple glow). This feature is more noticeable than the traditional "press Ctrl to locate the pointer" function (especially on complex backgrounds). I need to confirm whether this is a new feature in Windows 10 and find the specific settings path to enable/disable it.

This specific visual effect is part of Windows 10's accessibility features, particularly the Touch Indicators or Pointer Highlighting options, which have become more prominent in recent updates, especially with Windows 11 and Windows 10 versions focusing on accessibility improvements.

Yes, recent Windows 10 updates and especially Windows 11 (and some Windows 10 versions) have introduced enhanced visual cues for touch and pointer location, particularly for touch-enabled devices or when certain accessibility features are active.

Go to Settings > Devices > Mouse > Additional mouse options (usually a link on the right). Switch to the Pointers tab. You can customize pointer appearance here, but highlighting the pointer on key press isn't a default Windows feature.
