Before you start converting RAF files to JPG on Windows 10, make sure to back up your RAF files. If something goes wrong during the conversion, you don’t want to lose your original images. RAF files often carry specific color profiles that might get lost when converting. Check that your software supports color profiles—this can affect how your JPGs look.
If you're looking for something quick and easy, the Photos app in Windows 10 doesn’t natively support RAF files, but you can use the Windows Raw Image Extension from the Microsoft Store:
- Install the extension, then you can view RAW files in the Photos app.
- While you can’t convert directly in the app, you can view and use the Print option to save as JPG (this is a roundabout method and might require a few extra clicks).
