How to completely remove or uninstall stubborn apps on windows 10?
Some apps on a Windows 10 PC just refuse to uninstall properly. Even after using "Apps & Features" or Control Panel, the program either throws an error, won't uninstall, or still leaves files behind....

The Control Panel method is a more traditional way to uninstall stubborn apps on windows 10
Windows 10, and it often works better for older desktop applications (like Win32 programs). Some apps that don’t uninstall properly from Apps & Features can still be removed successfully using this method because it directly calls the program’s built-in uninstaller.
This approach is still beginner-friendly but gives slightly more control compared to the Settings app. It's especially helpful when dealing with software installed a long time ago or programs that don't appear correctly in the modern Apps list. However, just like the first method, it may not completely remove leftover files.
How to remove stubborn apps on windows 10
- Press Windows + R on your keyboard
- Type control and press Enter to open Control Panel
- Click Programs → Programs and Features
- Wait for the list of installed programs to load
- Find the app you want to uninstall
- Right-click the app and select Uninstall (or click Uninstall at the top)
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the removal
Extra Tips:
- If the uninstall option is missing, try clicking Change/Repair first
- Restart your PC after uninstalling to clear temporary files
- If you see an error, run Control Panel as Administrator and try again
