How to change back the default appearance for file explorer?
My cat decided to lounge on my laptop and managed to enable all kinds of settings. Most of them were related to Ease of Access, like high contrast mode, magnifier, and so on. I feel like these annoying borders might be from one of those settings, but I can’t pinpoint which one. I really can’t stand how they look, and it’s been driving me crazy for a week trying to fix this.

Run %windir%\Resources\Themes\aero.theme

You can do this by factory reset. However, you should backup the data first!

The view tab at the top navigation bar.

In the Performance Options window, select Adjust for best appearance or manually disable any settings you don't want, particularly anything related to borders or visual enhancements.
