How can I translate text from an image on my pc?
If you're on https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11, you can do it without much hassle. Microsoft PowerToys has a Text Extractor feature that lets you copy text directly from an image using OCR. Once the text is copied, you can paste it into Microsoft Translator or any other translation service.
If you want something that does both in one step, the Microsoft Translator mobile app is better, but on a Windows PC it's generally a two-step process: extract the text first, then translate it.
Another option is to open the image inhttps://explore.microsoft.com/en-us/edge or use the Snipping Tool's text actions (on supported Windows versions), which can also extract text from images pretty accurately.
I've found the OCR quality to be surprisingly good for printed text, though handwritten text can still be hit or miss.
