Why not use iCloud? Using iCloud to transfer data from iPhone to iPhone is a popular and convenient method, especially when setting up a new device or restoring data. iCloud is Apple's cloud storage service that allows you to back up your iPhone's data and then restore it on another device seamlessly.
How to transfer data from iPhone to iPhone:
- On your old iPhone, go to "Settings" > [your name] > "iCloud" > "iCloud Backup."
- Tap "Back Up Now" to create a current backup of your device’s data in iCloud.
- Once the backup is complete, turn on your new iPhone or reset your current one if needed.
- During the setup process, when prompted, select "Restore from iCloud Backup."
- Sign in with your Apple ID and choose the most recent backup.
- The transfer process will begin, and your new iPhone will download everything from the backup.
- Wait for the restore to complete, which might take some time depending on the size of your backup and internet speed.
Limitations:
- Only 5GB free space (most users exceed this quickly)
- Requires stable Wi-Fi
- Can be slow for large transfers
