How can I split a pdf into single pages on Windows 10?
PDFtk Builder is an open-source, graphical PDF tool that allows you to split a PDF file into individual pages free, as it features a dedicated “Split” tab for batch-splitting all pages; this offline desktop program offers a simple and intuitive way to split a PDF file into individual pages free.
It allows you to split each page into separate documents in a single batch operation, but the software features an outdated visual interface with virtually no modern UI updates.
First, open the software and add the target PDF file. Click the “Split” tab, select “Split each page into a separate document,” and then click “Create” to begin the splitting process.
The software will automatically export each PDF page as a separate file and save all split documents to your specified output folder. The entire process runs quickly and does not require uploading files to the internet.
Once the creation process is complete, all single-page PDF files will be generated and ready for use.
Its advantages include: open-source use with no watermarks; a user-friendly GUI instead of a command line; fast batch splitting; and completely offline, local file processing.
Its disadvantages include: an outdated interface design; limited functionality, covering only basic splitting and merging operations; and infrequent official software updates.
Notes
- Make sure the Generate a separate document for each page option is selected before clicking the “Create” button to generate single-page PDF files.
- Set the output folder in advance so you can quickly locate all the split PDF files once the process is complete.
- For highly encrypted PDF files, please unlock the file password before importing it into the software for splitting.
This allows you to split multi-page PDFs into single-page files in batches offline. It is suitable for both simple, everyday PDF splitting tasks and for handling confidential local documents that cannot be uploaded to online splitting websites.
