How can I repair a word file as I can't open it anymore
To repair a Word file on Windows PC, you can use the Office File Recovery tool, which is also known as the Office File Explorer. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do it:
Step 1: Open File ExplorerFirst, open File Explorer on your Windows PC. You can do this by pressing the Windows key + E on your keyboard or by clicking on the File Explorer icon in the taskbar.
Step 2: Open the Office File Recovery toolIn the File Explorer window, click on "This PC" or "Computer" in the left sidebar. Then, click on "This PC" or "Computer" again, and select "Open File Explorer Options" from the context menu. In the File Explorer Options window, click on the "Search" tab and check the box next to "Always search file system". Click "OK" to close the window.
Step 3: Open the Office File ExplorerNow, navigate to the location where your corrupted Word file is stored. Right-click on the file and select "Open with" > "Office File Recovery". If you don't see this option, you can also type "office file recovery" in the File Explorer search bar to find the tool.
Step 4: Launch the repair processOnce the Office File Explorer tool is launched, you will see a list of files that can be recovered. Select your corrupted Word file and click on the "Open" button. The tool will then scan the file and attempt to repair a Word file.
Step 5: Save the repaired fileOnce the repair process is complete, you will be asked if you want to save the repaired file. Click on "Save" to save the file in its original location. If you want to save the file in a different location, you can click on the "Browse" button to select a new location.
Note: The success of the repair process depends on the extent of the damage to the file. If the file is severely corrupted, it may not be possible to recover it completely.
