How can I expand only the first level of subfolders in a collapsed folder?

How can I make the collapse really collapse all folders and subfolders, so that when I expand a folder, it will only show first level of folders, and not "remember" the last state before I collapsed the folder?

Below is the result I am looking for, example showing the collapse and expand of the Control Panel folder:

    Sure! Here's the fastest way:

In File Explorer, click the folder to select it, then press Alt + V followed by H. This will "Collapse to Current Folder," hiding all its subfolders. When you expand it again, only the first level will show.
