To span a single wallpaper across multiple monitors in Windows 10, you need to choose a wallpaper image that is at least as wide as the combined resolution of your monitors.
Then, in your display settings, select the "Span" option under "Choose a fit" for the wallpaper

My personalization allows a cascade which is effectively the solution. barring my monitors being different

While primarily designed for window management, PowerToys includes a feature called FancyZ0nes that allows you to create custom window layouts, and you can use it to help visualize and crop your wallpaper for multi-monitor setups.

Not specifically for cropping images, but great for managing multi-monitor setups and snapping windows.
