I had the same issue with my DIY PC—no OS. I used https://www.recodie.com/create-bootable-usb-installerto create a Windows 10 installation USB, and it was super simple. Just a few clicks, and I was ready to install Windows—perfect for non-techies like me!

You'll need a USB with at least 8 GB of space. Make sure to back up any important files because this process will wipe it clean. You'll need a stable internet connection to download the installer. Make sure you're on a Windows PC (Windows 7, 8, or 10) to create a Windows 10 installation media.
- Go to the Microsoft Download Page. Look for the "Download tool now" button and click it. This downloads the Media Creation Tool.
- Open the Media Creation Tool (just double-click that file you downloaded). When the terms of service pop up, go ahead and agree to that (it's standard stuff).
- You'll get a couple of options. You can either upgrade your current PC or create installation media for another PC. Since we're making a USB drive, pick“Create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file).”
- Choose the language, edition of Windows 10, and architecture (x64 is usually what you want unless you're on an older system). Just check the box that says“Use the recommended options for this PC”if you're unsure.
- Next, click on "USB flash drive" as your media type. Select your USB from the list (make sure you pick the right one—don't wanna wipe the wrong drive).
- The tool will then download the Windows 10 files and create windows 10 installation media. This could take a while depending on your internet speed, so grab a snack!
- Once it's done, safely eject the USB drive. You're all set to use it to install Windows 10 on a different computer or reinstall it on the same one!
