How can I convert a low-quality image to high-quality without watermark?
People who search for ‘how to improve image quality’ are usually looking to enlarge a small or slightly blurred image without making the pixels and compression artefacts too noticeable. Simply increasing the image size in a basic editor often results in the image becoming blurred; therefore, resizing alone cannot restore lost visual detail.
Upscayl uses AI upscaling models to enlarge images while attempting to recover cleaner edges and visible details. Open the application and click "Select Image" to load the picture. Under "Select Model," choose a model appropriate for the image, such as a general photo model for ordinary photographs. Adjust the Image Scale if needed, then use "Set Output Folder" to choose where the processed image will be saved.
Before processing, check the selected model and output size, especially when working with an already large image. Click "Upscayl" and wait for processing to finish, then use the before-and-after preview to compare the original with the enlarged version. For users learning how to increase image quality, it is better to judge details at normal viewing size as well as zoomed in, since aggressive upscaling can sometimes introduce artificial textures or overly sharp edges
