How can I compress a video file for email on Windows 10?
Using email’s built-in compression feature is a quick way to compress a video for email, as both Outlook and Gmail automatically reduce video size when sending.
While this software can prepare your video for email in one go, using this feature means you have no control over the compression quality.
First, open your browser and go to Outlook (or Gmail). Create a new email.
Next, add the video file as an attachment to the email. The email service will automatically compress the video to fit the attachment size limit.
Once you’ve finished composing the email, click Send to complete the process.
Since the software cannot compress videos based on custom quality settings, this method lets you compress a video for email without manual settings, so it is only suitable for users who don’t mind automatic compression and don’t require fine-tuned control over the final file size or quality.
If you prefer not to use third-party software, you can try this method. It’s a simple built-in option, but we recommend testing it with a video first to ensure the quality meets your needs.
