You can still upgrade to Windows 10 for free (even though Microsoft officially ended the free upgrade offer in 2016, the upgrade tool still works for many users) if you're running a genuine copy of Windows 7 or Windows 8.1,

How to activate Windows 10 free without product key

Step 1: Download the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft’s official website:

Step 2: Run the tool and select Upgrade this PC now.

Step 3: Follow the on-screen instructions to upgrade.

Step 4: After upgrading, Windows 10 will be activated free automatically if you had a genuine previous version.

⚠️ Note: This method may not work for all users, especially if Microsoft has blocked activation for your hardware ID.
