VLC Media Player. it is free and can play hevc videos without any problem.
- Came here to say this. Why pay $1 for some broken fumble when you can just use a different product that doesn't give you a pain when you try to pay for it? Good general rule: if you can't install it on a Linux distro, don't install it on a Windows machine either unless you have to. This avoids a lot of walled garden silliness.
