Gaming and general BSOD/freeze/unresponsive instability with win11

I need to vent a little with this S.O.S.

I ran win10 for years with nearly zero crashes (there must have been some but I can't recall a specific instance). I've had win10 running stable for over two years on this iteration of hardware. I did a clean install of win11 on a new SSD and now the same PC crashes regularly.

This machine is exclusively used for gaming. I have separate SSDs for media and for my steam installation that were reused.

If I run scannow or dism it will fail sometimes, but also succeed sometimes. No joy after driver updates. Boot up Starsector or Kenshi and this sucker will crash, freeze, or hard lock all the time. Running MO2 causes crashes. Nothing is sacred and all will result in failure eventually. My hardware is 99% not the culprit. This is now a couple month old clean install of up to date windows 11 and it's complete garbage. I've never had problems with windows other than hibernation using half my SSD but that was a 30 second fix.

Is there some stupid windows gaming feature haunting me or should I just try a clean install since I can't provide any specific issue or log?

I can update with my win version when I'm at my PC.

Since your system was stable under Windows 10, this suggests a compatibility or configuration issue with Windows 11.
