Difficulties with Multiple Monitors Setup on Windows 10
You need reliable detection across multiple displays. Open Settings > System > Display, select Identify, and drag the numbered displays so their arrangement matches the physical setup. Under Multiple displays, choose Extend these displays, then select each monitor and use its Recommended scale and resolution. If a screen is missing, select Detect, reseat the cable, try another port, and confirm the monitor's input. For a dock, verify its firmware and that the laptop port supports the required display mode; bandwidth limits can block the requested resolution or refresh rate. Install Windows updates and the PC or graphics manufacturer's current display driver, then restart. Test each monitor directly, one at a time, to isolate a cable, adapter, dock, or port issue. If detection changes after sleep, provide the adapter model, connection type, resolution, refresh rate, and driver version; those details distinguish a hardware limit from a Windows or driver problem.
