Default Apps Cannot Be Modified After Lossless Reinstallation of Windows 10
After performing a clean reinstallation of Windows 10, default applications automatically revert to their system-provided versions. Attempts to modify file associations have all failed, and using antivirus software configuration tools has proven ineffective. Seeking a solution.

Right-click a file with the extension you want to change.
Select Open with > Choose another app.
Choose your preferred application.
Check the box Always use this app to open .[extension] files.
Click OK.
