Daemon Tools setup not working on my PC

Im trying to move my ISOs for old games onto my XP computer by using a USB stick. I want to also put an old version of Daemon Tools as well, but all the ones Ive found online give an error message of "1" when trying to install on my windows xp machine. Not sure why, except that on my other computer where I download the old version of DaemonTools, it states that some properties can't be transferred when putting it on my USB stick. My guess is maybe that breaks the setup exe but I dont know.

Ideas for a workaround? Is it simply not advised to try to install programs using a USB?

    Instead of just dragging and dropping, right-click the installer on your current PC and choose "Copy," then on XP, right-click the USB drive and choose "Paste."
