Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V stopped working

After working perfectly for years usin my Lenovo laptop, now when I try to copy or paste using the keyboard shortcuts they do not work.     For instance Ctrl +V ends up simply as "v" not what I was...

Full Uninstall via PowerShell (Current User - Recommended)

  1. Right-click Start → Terminal (Admin) or Windows PowerShell (Admin). (Visual: Black window with blue title "Administrator")
  2. Copy-paste this exactly & press Enter:text(Visual: Green text scrolls, ends with no errors)
  3. Get-AppxPackage *XboxGamingOverlay* | Remove-AppxPackage
  4. Close window. Test Win + G (fails) & Ctrl+C/V (works).
