Copilot App on Win10 Doesn't synch to Copilot on m365.cloud.microsoft

Chats (history) on Copilot App on Win10 whether it is desktop or laptop Doesn't synch to Copilot on m365.cloud.microsoft or vice versa. This a Microsoft personal annual plan (no I will not upgrade) that has been used for over 15 years. The Edge browser on which copilot m365.cloud was accessed is up to date. Strangely, the copilot app synchs with chats on copilot.com. But why not the ones on Copilot on m365.cloud.microsoft of which I have many more chat history?

  • The Windows app matching your consumer Copilot chats but differing from the Microsoft 365 web experience suggests the two surfaces are showing different histories. It does not establish that you need a more expensive subscription.

Microsoft's current app-update guidance says personal-account chats and eligible content are being brought together in the updated Copilot app. Personal and work accounts remain separate, even when their displayed names look similar.

Check the signed-in account on both surfaces, including whether either is a work account. Update the Windows app, then compare with a private browser session signed into the same personal Microsoft account. Open the Chats list and look for a specific missing conversation.

Keep the history that remains accessible; do not delete chats as a synchronization fix. If the mismatch continues, report the app version, affected conversation titles and dates through support. The published guidance does not provide an individual migration-completion deadline.
