Changing the drive used by File History

What is the correct way to change an external drive which is being used by File History? For example if I want to change the existing external drive that is being used for File History to a new drive...

Yes, you need to first stop existing backup and drive and select another drive you want to use. Windows will automatically ask you to migrate the data. Check out the step-by-step guide here:
