can't login to windows account

my pc is set to login without asking for a password.

when i switched on a couple of days ago it asked for my password

upon trying to enter my password i could not type any letters but i could type numbers - weird

after several attempts it asked me to type in a code to continue

the code was A1B2C3 and l could enter all of lt wlth no problem

l am not a computer noob and can usualy solve problems myself, which l have been trying to do for the last 3 days.

restart holding shift down gets me to the diagnostics screen

troubleshoot - advanced options - command prompt -

this is where i find out bitlocker has locked my c drive

searching the net l have tried numerous suggestions, all to no avail lncluding the work-aroud from mlcrosoft of disabling TXT ln the BIOS, which i couldn't find anywhere

every thing i try ends up wanting the bitlocker recovery key

PC is a Dell Inspiron 16 plus 7640 windows 10

any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated

Since your PC is locked with BitLocker and issues persist, Dell support can provide guidance tailored to your device.

If unavailable there, look for any printed or saved copies of the recovery key, or check external drives/cloud backups. If the recovery key is lost, options become limited, and you might need to consider professional data recovery services, especially if the data is critical. Moving forward, ensure you back up recovery keys securely and monitor any system changes that could trigger BitLocker recovery mode.

BitL0cker often triggers the recovery mode after hardware changes, firmware updates, or suspicious activity.

Think about any recent changes: BIOS updates, hardware modifications, or firmware settings.
