Can't get screen resolution beyond 640*480

The motherboard has no built in gpu, and I want to run them without GPUs installed. As it is, I cannot get screen resolution to go beyond 640*480, which is practically useless. Also, anytime I need to scroll the window, it will not do so, despite the scroll bar on the right side of the window moving up or down. The window contents never scroll. Is there any fix for this?

Since your motherboard has no integrated GPU, you'll need to install the driver for your dedicated GPU (if installed) or for your motherboard's chipset (if it has integrated graphics, or if you're using a CPU with integrated graphics support, like Intel's integrated GPU).

  • It sounds like your system is defaulting to a very basic display mode, likely because it isn't recognizing your monitor properly or there's no proper graphics driver installed. Running without a GPU installed and only relying on the motherboard's integrated graphics (if available) can sometimes cause these issues, especially if the motherboard doesn't have integrated graphics or if drivers are missing.
