Xournal++ is an open-source application that can be used to add text, handwritten notes, highlights, and other annotations to PDF files. If you're searching for how to enable editing on a PDF, it can handle common tasks such as filling in blank fields or writing comments directly on the page.
Steps:
- Install the application and open the PDF.
- Select the text, pen, or highlight tool.
- Make the changes you need and save the document.
It does not replace or rewrite the original paragraphs in a PDF, but it works well for annotations, signatures, and simple edits. If how to enable editing on a PDF mainly involves adding information instead of modifying the original content, this approach is usually enough for everyday documents.
