It is totally possible to update an old computer to Windows 11, but it depends on the hardware specifications.
How much will it cost to upgrade my computer to Windows 11? The upgrade is free if your PC already has a genuine activated Windows 10 license.
3. What if the PC is too old?
If your computer does not meet Windows 11 requirements, you still have options:
- Upgrade hardware (for example, add more RAM or replace an HDD with an SSD)
- Continue using Windows 10 (supported until October 14, 2025)
- Install Windows 11 using unsupported hardware methods (not officially recommended and may have limitations)
Before upgrading, it is a good idea to back up important files and check your exact CPU model, RAM amount, and whether TPM 2.0 is available.
If you tell me your computer model or CPU, RAM, and current Windows version, I can help determine whether Windows 11 will work and what the cheapest upgrade path would be.
