Can I transfer Photos from PC to iPhone without iTunes?
Google Photos is a free, cloud-based way to transfer photos from PC to iPhone with USB, no USB cable required. It lets you sync photos wirelessly and access them across devices with a Google account.
Instructions: Install the Google Drive desktop app on your computer and sign in with your Google account. Copy your photos to the Google Drive sync folder. Download the app on your iPhone, sign in with the same Google account, and your photos will appear automatically. You can also tap Profile → Free up space to manage storage on your device.
Its advantages include free 15GB shared storage, automatic sync across devices, easy access to photos from anywhere, and built-in photo organization and editing tools.
Its drawbacks include limited free storage (shared with Gmail and Drive), requiring an internet connection for syncing, and photos being compressed by default unless you choose "Original quality" upload.
This allows you to quickly transfer photos from PC to iPhone with USB, making it suitable for users who want to sync photos wirelessly, access their library across devices, and keep backups offsite.
ps:
- Storage Saver mode is enabled by default during uploads, which compresses image quality. You must manually select Upload in Original Quality to preserve details.
- Syncing requires a stable internet connection. Delays may occur when uploading large files in batches, so we recommend using Wi-Fi.
- Viewing photos on an iPhone requires an internet connection to load them. When Optimize iPhone Storage is enabled, only thumbnails are retained locally; you must download the original images to view them.
