Can I make Windows 10 boot screen look like MS-DOS

    Yes, you can make the Windows 10 boot screen look like MS-DOS, but not actually function like it. You're essentially replacing the graphical boot logo with a static image that mimics the classic DOS text screen.

  • Hi, not in a supported or safe way. Windows boot visuals are protected, and modifying boot resources can break updates, recovery, or Secure Boot. The safer options are enabling verbose status messages or using “No GUI boot,” but that still will not make it a real MS-DOS style boot screen. For the retro look, I’d keep it after sign-in with Windows Terminal themes or a startup script
