Best video compressor for mac to reduce the file size of video?

The video recordings on my iPhone are too large (more than 2GB per video) and it takes too much space when trying to backup it to my MacBook Air. Also have the same issue for camera footages.

I am looking for the best video compressor app on Mac to reduce the file size of MP4 and MOV videos. The suggestion for online video compression tool is not good as it takes hours for upload and download. Also I want to keep the privacy!
