Becoming an Administrator ? URGENT please....

1. Use Another Admin Account – This is ruled out as you don’t know who did it for you

2.Use Safe Mode + Hidden Administrator Account

Windows includes a hidden “Super Administrator” account that might be enabled in Safe Mode.

1. Restart in Safe Mode with Command Prompt:
• Hold Shift and click Restart from the login screen power menu.
• Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart
• After restart, press F6 for “Safe Mode with Command Prompt”
2. Enable Administrator Account:
   In the Command Prompt window, type:

net user administrator /active:yes

Then press Enter.

1. Restart and log in:
• Restart your PC normally.
• You should now see a new "Administrator" account on the login screen.
• Log in to it (no password usually).
• Once logged in, go to:
  Settings > Accounts > Family & other users, select your account, and promote it to Administrator.

3.Reset PC (if above fails)

This is drastic but effective:

1. Boot your PC, then go to:
• Settings > Update & Security > Recovery
2. Under Reset this PC, choose Keep my files (if you want to preserve your data).
3. Follow the prompts to reinstall Windows, which lets you create a new Administrator account during setup.
