Battery Percentage Display on Windows 10 Taskbar

I don't know when they added this feature—I just reinstalled Windows and stumbled upon it while browsing through the settings. It’s incredibly useful (especially for laptop users like me). Until now, I had been using the "Battery Percentage Icon" app from the Microsoft Store.

Open Settings System Power & sleep On the right side, click "Battery settings" under the Battery section, then turn on "Show battery percentage in the taskbar" on the page that appears.

The feature to display the battery percentage directly on the Windows 10 taskbar was officially introduced in Windows 10 version 1809, which was released in October 2018. This update added the option to show the battery percentage indicator alongside the battery icon in the system tray, making it easier for users to see their remaining battery life at a glance without opening the Settings menu.
