Automatic microphone adjustment during calls on Windows 10 systems

Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Whenever I’m on a call (especially on apps like Snapchat or Instagram) with my Windows device, the microphone volume keeps lowering automatically. I have to stop and adjust it manually every once in a while just to make sure the other person can hear me. I already tried tweaking the microphone’s communication settings in Windows, but that still hasn’t solved the problem.

This feature is designed to boost quiet sounds and lower loud ones, but it often makes your volume unpredictable during calls.

Right-click the Speaker icon in your system tray and select Sounds.

    Go to the Recording tab.

Double-click your active microphone (it will have a green checkmark).

In the Microphone Properties window, go to the Levels tab. Ensure the volume is set to 100 here first.

Now, go to the Enhancements tab.

Check the box for "Disable all sound effects." This instantly turns off all processing, including Automatic Gain Control.

    Click Apply and then OK.

If the "Enhancements" tab is missing, it means your audio driver doesn't support the interface in Windows Settings. You need to use your audio driver's control panel instead (see next step).
