An unfamiliar woman's image appears on a Windows 10 blue screen?
An unfamiliar woman's image/photo (not the system's default blue screen style) appeared on the computer's blue screen of death (BSOD) interface, after which the system automatically rebooted and temporarily returned to normal. I am currently scanning with third-party software but am uncertain whether this image is a visual anomaly implanted by malware/viruses or a display corruption caused by driver or hardware failure. Need to assess the risk level and determine further steps for handling.

The unexpected image could be a sign of malware, especially if it appears suddenly or seems unrelated to typical system error screens. Some malware or rootkits can manipulate system visuals or embed images to confuse or scare users.

This is a classic indication that the blue screen of death interface has been tampered with by malicious software, posing a high risk. It is advisable to immediately disconnect from the network, run a comprehensive scan using Windows Defender in Safe Mode, and verify whether the graphics card driver has been hijacked.
