After upgrading from Windows 10, the Check for updates button appears greyed out and unresponsive.

After upgrading my computer from Windows 10 to Windows 11, the "Check for updates" button in the Windows Update interface has remained greyed out and is completely unclickable. I have tried every method I could find online, such as running the Update Troubleshooter, resetting the Windows Update components, and checking service statuses, but the button is still disabled.

In Services Manager, ensure that Windows Update, Cryptographic Services and Intelligent Background Transfer Service are all running and set to start automatically, then restart your computer.

Some antivirus software can interfere with Windows Update. Try disabling or uninstalling your antivirus software temporarily to see if it resolves the issue.

The issue where the "Check for updates" button remains greyed out and unclickable after upgrading to Windows 11 is unusual and can be caused by various system or update component issues. Since you've already tried common troubleshooting methods like running the troubleshooter, resetting Windows Update components, and checking services.
