Hi CameronLewis, this usually happens when Windows decides an app association is invalid after an update, or when the third-party app has not re-registered its file types cleanly. I’d reinstall or repair the affected apps, set the defaults again through Settings rather than the registry, and if this is for multiple PCs, export/import default app associations with the supported DISM/GPO method.
