change number for recovery
I can't use the old number were says text to. How do I change my number to a working number? Thanks. When replying, please use a larger font and bold. or remove the number

add a new verification method before removing the old number at first:
- go to Microsoft Account Security and sign in.
- select“Manage how I sign in,” then “Add a new way to sign in or verify.” Add and verify your new number, email address, or Microsoft Authenticator.
- select the old phone number, choose “Remove,” and confirm.
If cannot sign in because the code only goes to your old number, use Microsoft’s Sign-in Helper.
