ISO file download time - crdownload status

I have selected the buttons to download a new ISO file for my Windows 11 computer.

I can see that a .crdownload file has been started BUT it's just a few MB.  The web says the ISO file is usually a few GB.

How do I know that the download is still in progress v/s being stalled/failing/whatever?
