Make a clean install if the below suggestions did not work.

Corrupted BIOS settings can often lead to serious startup issues, especially if your laptop is stuck in an infinite boot loop. Resetting the CMOS will clear all misconfigured settings and restore the motherboard to its default state, which can safely resolve the problem.
Step 1: Unplug the power cord from the back of the computer.
Step 2: Remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard.
Step 3: Wait 5 to 10 minutes to allow the motherboard to fully discharge.
Step 4: Hold down the power button for 30 seconds.
Step 5: Reinstall the CMOS battery correctly.
Finally, plug the power cord back in and try to start the device normally.
After performing a CMOS reset, many system conflicts will be resolved, and you should be able to successfully exit the state where your laptop is stuck in an infinite boot loop and boot into Windows normally.
Cons
Resets all BIOS settings to their defaults.
Requires direct access to the motherboard or CMOS battery, which may be difficult for some ultra-thin laptops or all-in-one computers.
If performed incorrectly, it may cause further hardware issues.

Most modern motherboards (ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, ASRock) have a feature to recover from a corrupted BIOS using a USB drive, which is especially useful if your laptop is stuck in an infinite boot loop due to BIOS issues.
1. On another computer that is functioning properly, visit the motherboard manufacturer’s official website
2. Download the correct BIOS file that exactly matches your motherboard model
3. Format the USB flash drive to the FAT32 file system
4. Copy the renamed BIOS file directly to the root directory of the USB flash drive
5. Insert the USB flash drive into the dedicated BIOS Flashback port
6. Press and hold the BIOS Flashback button on the motherboard or I/O panel for 3–5 seconds.
7. Wait until the Flashback indicator stops flashing.
8. Do not turn off the device during the flashing process.
9. Remove the USB flash drive and attempt to boot the device normally.
This method can effectively fix a laptop is stuck in an infinite boot loop caused by BIOS corruption, failed updates, or misconfiguration. It requires no extra software and provides a reliable hardware-level recovery solution for systems that cannot boot into Windows or the BIOS setup menu.

Hi millerk101881,
This can be a tricky issue to resolve, but here are some steps you can try to fix the issue:Hard Reset: First, try a hard reset of your computer. Turn off the power, unplug it from the wall, and then hold the power button down for about 15 seconds. This should discharge any residual power and help reset the system.
BIOS Recovery: If your BIOS update was interrupted, you may need to perform a BIOS recovery. The exact steps for this process vary depending on your motherboard and BIOS manufacturer, so consult your motherboard's manual for specific instructions. Typically, it involves using a specific key combination or a dedicated jumper to initiate the recovery process.
Remove CMOS Battery: Another potential step is to remove the CMOS battery from your motherboard for a few minutes. This can help reset BIOS settings to their default values.
Boot from USB: If you have a recovery USB drive, try booting from it. You mentioned that you tried a recovery disk, but if it's not booting, it might not be properly configured or the boot order in BIOS might not be set correctly.
Check Hardware: Ensure that all your hardware components (RAM, hard drive/SSD, graphics card, etc.) are properly seated. Sometimes, loose components can cause boot issues.
Repair Windows: If you manage to boot from a recovery USB, you can try repairing Windows using the built-in tools. You can choose options like "Startup Repair" or "System Restore" to fix Windows issues.

LeonPavesic I have a similar issue, though holding the power button does nothing, so I cannot force it out of the loop. I'm going to let it run and hope that after the battery dies I can restart. If not, any advice? This is after a factory reset.
Thanks,
Chris
- Nix8742Copper ContributorHey there, im currently struggling with the same issue, a black loading screen stuck after a factory reset. I am curious if you have found a solution to this as i havent found anything.
