Desktop stuck in an infinite boot loop
Most modern motherboards (ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, ASRock) have a feature to recover from a corrupted BIOS using a USB drive, which is especially useful if your laptop is stuck in an infinite boot loop due to BIOS issues.
1. On another computer that is functioning properly, visit the motherboard manufacturer’s official website
2. Download the correct BIOS file that exactly matches your motherboard model
3. Format the USB flash drive to the FAT32 file system
4. Copy the renamed BIOS file directly to the root directory of the USB flash drive
5. Insert the USB flash drive into the dedicated BIOS Flashback port
6. Press and hold the BIOS Flashback button on the motherboard or I/O panel for 3–5 seconds.
7. Wait until the Flashback indicator stops flashing.
8. Do not turn off the device during the flashing process.
9. Remove the USB flash drive and attempt to boot the device normally.
This method can effectively fix a laptop is stuck in an infinite boot loop caused by BIOS corruption, failed updates, or misconfiguration. It requires no extra software and provides a reliable hardware-level recovery solution for systems that cannot boot into Windows or the BIOS setup menu.
