Unable to join some Communities and unable to add members to some Communities

A company I work with has the following problem. Their users are unable to join some Viva Engage Communities and they cannot add new members to these Communities. What is common for all these Communities is that they are not connected to a Microsoft 365 Group. All other Communities (that are connected to M 365 Groups) works fine. The problem started for about a month ago. Anyone here that have an answer to this problem?
Regards, Magnus

  • Hi!
So, when enabling Native mode, it should convert all communities to be group connected. Double check that native mode is enabled!

If it is any they dont have a group, then create a ticket with the MS support

  • You should open a support case for this. As noted, the conversion to Native Mode should connect all communities to M365 Groups.

So this is because those aren't groups and you don't have Native mode enabled.  Microsoft has started to deprecate features on tenants that aren't in Native mode, as recommended since 2021

Hi Nicolas and thank you for your answer.
Native mode is enabled but these groups were created before so they are not "group-connected". Do you know if there is a way to "convert" them?
