How to stop post content in Viva Engage to sending emails to the whole company

Loving having a New Viva engage community but trying to figure out a way to determine who gets new posts to the community . Currently it sends out to everyone which then looks like spam. I want to keep engagement but cannot have it sending the email to the whole company as we create new communities.

Can someone help?

As far as I know, by default Microsoft Viva Engage notifies all participants. You will need to adjust your community or membership notification settings so that only the desired audience receives posts, not everyone.

This usually happens when a post is shared in the “All Company” community”, which sends email notifications to everyone by default. To avoid this, try posting in a specific community instead of All Company and check your Viva Engage notification settings to reduce email alerts. If you're an admin, you can also manage notification settings from the Microsoft 365 admin center.

We also have this issue in our organization. But not everyone is getting mails. Is there a way to control and mange this?

A less than perfect workaround that we have done for this is blocking the email account in Exchange by adding the @yammer.com domain or by doing a Online Transport rule (see https://techlabs.blog/categories/office-365/stop-discover-whats-happening-across-your-organization-emails-from-yammer). While not the best practice for sure, it works.

I also have the same issue - anyone know the solution?
