Universal Print Windows Version 22H2
aakio We are having the same issue. Every other version of Windows seems to work except for Win 11 22H2. Print jobs will just say "Error" in local print queue, but won't even reach the Universal Print interface on Azure. Event viewer shows an error for Universal Print but it doesn't seem very helpful for troubleshooting. Hope an answer comes soon.
The description for Event ID 1 from source Universal Print cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
GetStringValue (printer-state-reasons) - not a string type: 0x12
APMon.dll
The locale specific resource for the desired message is not present

Larry2380 - what kind of printer are you using? Is it registered using a Universal Print connector?
have you opened a support ticket with Microsoft (link on Universal Print admin portal)?

Saurabh_Bansal they are Xerox Versalinks B405's. We had a small change on this. We are using Xerox Workplace Cloud which creates a single Universal Print queue for all of our printers.
If we just use the Universal Print connector and add a single printer, everything works fine. However, the Xerox Workplace Cloud single Universal Print queue is not working. We are suspecting it is an issue on Xerox's end and have a support ticket with them as well.

Larry2380 - a few things:
- Xerox WP cloud: Are you registering this single queue via connector? We recommend doing it without the connector (check https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/universal-print/fundamentals/universal-print-partner-integrations#xerox-workplace-cloud).
- If it's already without the connector and issue persists, then following-up with Xerox is the right thing to do. They might be missing some "mandatory" attribute that is required to be compliant with standards (IPP and Mopria).
- If you want to add this printer without the Xerox WP cloud then,
- I didn't find Xerox Versalink on their compatible products list - this means it may not be a Universal Print ready printer (registered without a connector). Xerox is adding support for more models on an ongoing basis. You may want to check if your model will have Universal Print ready support. This provides the best experience.
- If you are adding the physical printer via connector, then there check out the known issue with Xerox's printer app which has now been mitigated (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/universal-print/fundamentals/universal-print-known-issues#some-xerox-and-kyocera-printers-registered-through-the-universal-print-connector-fail-to-print-after-being-added).
