Universal Print configured and accepting jobs but Ricoh printer does not find the print job
Hi, currently we have Universal Print enabled and some printers configured in this. The printer on which I am testing is shared and shows as accepting jobs and is in the ready state. I have confi...

You could set up the UP queue as "Secure release with QR code" instead of a direct queue which allows the users to release their jobs at the printer.

If your printer supports it you could also go the way of PrintUP which is a Ricoh app that integrates with Microsoft Universal Print.
But since you have SLNX installed already I would advise you to contact your service provider and talk these things through with them since they probably have more insight on your current requirements.

Has the printer been registered as a UP-Ready device or on a server with the UP Connector?
Have you set up the printer in UP as a direct print queue or a QR release queue?
You say that your printer is also configured in SLNX and that you identify yourself with your badge and that it shows no print jobs that are ready for me to be printed. What app on the printer are you looking for your Universal Print job in?

- MatthiasVeelaertFeb 21, 2024Copper ContributorHi Andreas. The printer was indeed registered on a server that had the UP connector. The printer is also set up as a direct print queue and not a QR release queue.
For the app on the printer I just look in the default app on the ricoh printer for print jobs. Does an extra app need to be installed such as App for Universal Print or PrintUP?- AndreasAsanderFeb 22, 2024Iron ContributorWith the printer registered as a direct print queue on a Connector Server you don't need anything else on your device.
Print a test page from the queue on the server, does it print?
If not, then it's not a UP component restriction.
As a quick possible solution I would change the driver you are using on the server.
If you are using PS on the server switch to PCL and vice versa.

Also check the below logs for errors if a driver change did not resolve the issue.
Go to the printers Webgui -> Login -> Status/Information -> Job ->
Printer
Error Log - Check if your job is here with any errors
Job History - Check if your job is here with any errors
If you see an error that the job was restricted and since your printer is installed with SLNX and requires a badge to login it might have been setup to restrict direct/unauthenticated print jobs.- MatthiasVeelaertFeb 22, 2024Copper ContributorThanks for you response Andreas. I do have to mention one more thing that makes the troubleshooting perhaps a little more tricky. The situation here with the badges is also that it used followme printing so basically that the job is just associated with my account and that I can just go to any printer here at the office and sign in with my badge and print it from there so I cannot find the job on 1 specific printer it seems.
