Universal Print Client for IOS based devices

Is there a private preview for the Universal Print Client for IOS devices?  We have rolled out the universal print to our Windows and Mac devices.  With this done, I was now wanting to be able to see if there was a way to get on a private preview for testing out IOS devices with the universal print client on it.

Thanks

Steve

  • Thank you for following up and for the continued interest in using Universal Print from iOS and Android devices.

Since the original post, the Universal Print portal has become available and supports browser-based Secure Release on compatible phones and tablets:

    https://print.cloud.microsoft

The portal currently focuses on finding and securely releasing jobs that have already been submitted. We also hear the broader request for submitting print jobs directly from mobile devices and applications.

We are taking these requests and the scenarios shared in this discussion into consideration as we continue improving the Universal Print experience across phones and tablets. Details such as the applications users print from, managed-device requirements, and education workflows are especially helpful in understanding what customers need.

  • Following back up on this.  Is there a preview client for IOS devices?

  • Hi Steve-Leblond, we are actively building support for both Android and iOS. We don't have private previews available yet, but it would be great to connect now so we can include your organization in relevant previews as they come up.

Can you please DM with your tenant ID and email address to get started?

Hi, we'd also love to test out on Android and IOS.  We're currently looking at moving away from Papercut MF to full Universal Print with a single pull print queue globally. f258014c-e9c7-4984-a47c-f08c4bc3ec49

Would the Android support also work on ChromeOS devices? Or any plans for adding native support for ChromeOS to print from non-M365 webapps?
