Removing Printers from Print Server?

We have computers within our office that are Azure AD joined (Intune) and AD joined computers. We still have a need for a print server for the few computers left.

 

- Is it possible to add these printers into Universal Print even if they are on a print server?

- If not I will have to dedicate certain printers to certain computers depending on how they are joined to the network.

I am trying to do a dual setup. 🙂

    Yes, Universal Print can be used in parallel with print server for the same printer. The only consideration to keep in mind is if printer has any form of user-initiated release enabled (like PIN or badge release). 

     

    We recommend starting a test with one printer and then adding other printers.
