Where Does To Do Store file attachments?
atrain204 I don't think this is correct. If attachments to tasks in To Do are stored locally, then I shouldn't be able to access them when my laptop is turned off.
Where do they save when the task is created via an Android/iOS app? Those also don't have access to my computer.
I think you are looking at where an attachment is saved when it's downloaded from To Do
Biagio Mazzucco that's what I'm saying. There's no way that task attachments are stored locally.
My best guess is that attachments are stored in a dark hole somewhere in Exchange, but are not attached to MS Graph in anyway.

Uhm... why? temp. cache?
What i can say is that Teresa_Cyrus is right, although the path is different on the client i tested this...
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Todos_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\AccountsRoot\[some alphanumeric folder]\Attachments\[some alphanumeric subfolder]\
There is exactly the file i just uplaoded - and no, i didn't download the file from that task at any time- atrain204Feb 15, 2023Iron Contributor
RasenderRoli my point is/was that the files are stored in M365 after being uploaded to a task. I'm not disputing that you can find that cached file in your local storage - I'm disputing that this is where the To Do web app will pull the files from when opened on a different computer or mobile device.
For example, I uploaded a file to a task using the mobile app the other day. When I view that same file on a desktop browser, the address is https://outlook.office365.com/....
That suggests the file is stored in Exchange (not 100%) but there's seemingly no way to access the file outside of To Do.
