Webinar Recordings Saving to Random Attendee's OneDrive
- Jan 31, 2024
Got a final reply to my ticket this morning. Unfortunately, it's not great news.
The backend team have confirmed the reported issue is a known issue. However, the architectural design of teams is going to be changed in future as the plan is in progress to change this behavior and store the recordings under the organizer's OneDrive.
However, we cannot provide and ETA for that.
The Microsoft will release its official article once this has been implemented.

It looks like there's a new item on the roadmap for this!
Unfortunately the timeline is May-August which is quite a long time.

cprotheroThank you very much for this thread. The same incident happened to me last night when using the Webinar format to host a town-hall type meeting for an organization. I ended the meeting and lo and behold the recording was in SharePoint but ownership assigned to someone that was neither an organizer or presenter.
Absolutely maddening that such a behaviour in the program would be let through!
