Windows 10 update 2004 wont update on surface Pro 3

I've recently inherited a MS Surface Pro 3 refreshed with Windows 10 installed.

Windows update over the past week has been applying updates and today started to update Windows 10 2004 (May 2020 update) but failed with response that I need to either install updated Intel graphic drivers (have current drivers installed, according to Intel) or disable Core Isolation to enable the update to proceed.

I turn off/disable core isolation, go to a forced reboot and when I reboot Core Isolation is enabled. Tried to disable using powershell command line unsuccessfully.

Any clues folks?
