Surface Pro 7 Running w11 is hot and performs sluggish at time

I have some issues with heated surfaces of my Surface Pro 7. This is an I5 with 8G and 256 GB RAM. At times if powering a monitor and with laying flat it starts to work real slow. Want to know if a fix is on the works as I don't know if the W11 is making it run hot.
