Just ran the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit from the second link and it Fixed the problem but somehow i feel it'll come back

do_dotRebootI tried the Fix, but it didn't work for me. Think I'll have to disable the touchscreen

  i found a solution for the problem bubbles on surface pro 4 screen and capturing the mouse inside these bubble or square:
  from ms-website:
  https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49498
  i have downgrade the drivers to:
  https://download.microsoft.com/download/6/A/C/6ACB37C4-E4C1-4E0E-BBAE-AC7A0C303593/SurfacePro4_Win10_1701001_0.msi
  then restart and finish
  after this i have forced "only no driver update" in future over the gpedit.msc menu
  this works for me - no failure in hardware or so on, only driver problems

    I am currently dealing with the same problem in a Surface Pro 6 (I cannot understand this issue is still poping up in Surface...)
    
    Could you please explain a bit how to go through the proposed solution? Specially the last part 'forced "only no driver update" in future over the gpedit.msc'.
